Morning Meeting/Emotional and Mental Health Links
Morning Meeting Resources:
Every morning we have a morning meeting, which fosters community and is used as a springboard to all sorts of social and academic learning. Students run these meetings independently, and our morning meetings follow this format:
1. Greeting
2. MON: Highs/Lows TUE: Science Mysteries WED: Book Club THU: Show and Tell FRI: Jokes & Riddles
3. Game/initiative (every day except for Monday)
LARGE BOOK OF GAMES - A big 'ol .PDF full of games
Remember to be selective, thinking about how engaging the initiative/game would be, how you would explain and manage the initiative/game, and what materials you might need.
INITIATIVE/GAMES - A .PDF from Alliance with many good ones.
GREETINGS - A .PDF Mr. B grabbed from somewhere
Make sure that you (and your partner) can explain the greeting, anticipating questions that kids might have.
GREETINGS - From the Morning Meeting book
There are some good ones in here.. Just make sure to look at the chart where it says "for younger / older kids" to confirm whether the greeting would be good for our class!

We'll see what this year has in store! But if you want to learn how to juggle, here are some of the links we used last year:
